Questions and conversations
When you use Ask Alan, your question, recent conversation messages, and browser time zone are sent to Alan Builder’s server and then to AlanAnswers.com to generate an answer. The site does not request your precise location. If you include a location in your question, it is included in that request.
Conversation history is held in the open page and resets when you reload it or start a new conversation. Alan Builder does not provide a saved conversation account or its own conversation database in this version. Hosting and AI providers may process and retain request information under their own policies; clearing the conversation on this page does not delete provider records.
Email inquiries
The Contact page opens your email app. When you send an email, we receive the information you include and your email address. We use it to respond to your inquiry. Email is handled by the email providers involved.
Hosting and browser storage
The site is hosted through ChatGPT Sites. The hosting service may process connection details, access information, and security logs to serve and protect the site. Alan Builder does not add advertising trackers or analytics scripts. The home care checklist stays in the open page and resets on refresh.

Ask Alan uses AlanAnswers.com. Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Review their policies when using them.
